Where are the cheap Raspberry Pis?
Greg Kennedy wrote 03/18/2017 at 01:50 • 1 pointSeriously. RPi foundation claims to have pumped out millions of these things... some just given away, lots undoubtedly thrown into sock drawers or whatever. So how come everyone on eBay still wants like $35 for one?
I am specifically looking for an RPi 2 B v1.2 with the BCM2837, but even the BCM2836 revisions are asking just as much as a brand-new RPi 3.
What gives?

I'll sell you my old v1 for 15 bucks or a MSP430 :)

What's the price you want to see? Why the PI2?

Don't need WiFi or BT, would rather have the CPU power but without the additional power cost.
I expected to find them used around $20-25ish?

Hmm, I think you gotta wait until somebody with reasonable pricing is selling theirs, the 35$ people are likely people who can't sell theirs because the price is too high, so they're in for a long wait =) I got some Pi's from people in my city that had the "nothing to do with it" situation, and each of the purchases was quite a bargain. However, if you're trying to get them from "I'm just reselling stuff that people buy, with a margin", you're obviously not going to see low prices.
