Chip Gracey dropped into host a Hack Chat last month and @Jordan Bunker took the transcript and wrote this excellent article. Chip has been developing the Propeller II microcontroller for over a decade now. It has eight 32-bit cores that can operate in parallel. It's not etched in silicon yet but will be soon. For now you can run the design on an FPGA.
