User-controlled drop-on-demand printing with Epson Ecotank printers?
Frans Widdershoven wrote 09/26/2019 at 13:40 • 0 pointsIs the a way to print individual ink droplets of a selected color with aEpson Ecotank printer? It seems that the printer software doesn't allow this. Is is possible to bypass the "smart" printing software hthat blends inks, and dithers ink spots, and control the individual printhead nozzles?

i verifyed ESCP-R language on WF-4720 printer, it works fine. its a very very complex task to control printhead, data input, drive wave, motro control, etc.

Epson Ecotank printers like ET-2550, ET-2750 and L4160 use FA0400/FA04010 printheads. They have a 21-pin flat cable connector, of which the middle pin is not used (the flat cable only has 20 wires). Does anyone have a datasheet of this printhead, or another document that describes the electrical signals of the 20 used pins (voltages, timing diagrams, etc.)?

Thanks. I already checked it out on Wikepedia. It seems to be for older printers. Are you sure that the modern Ecotank printers can be controlled by ESCP-R? From available documentation I get the impression that modern digital printers are controlled by a high-level language that is interpreted locally on the printer.
