This project was created on 04/23/2016 and last updated a year ago.

Description

While writing this, I rest my elbow on a sponge I've cut in half with nichrome wire for a completely different project. I had no project for last years HaD prize. And I've always wanted to make a hoodie.

    [+video]

nobody want's to hear me crying about how much work I had to do for the past months, so here's what happened today. I've smuggled a little print onto the 50 hours to 3Dprint list.

Those steppers are way to weak for the hoodie :( I need to gear up or get some beefy servos.

This [german] fellow has figured out the setup for this specific stepper configuration.

    • I can't sew. So that's a challenge.
    • resting elbows on a table leads to pain - so make the elbow section soft
    • make the hood servo controlled / mechanically like a coupé roof

So my first though when I saw the photo was just a hoodie that looks like the star trek uniform. I would buy one of those.

This is amazing. I want a convertible hoodie with EL wire and a built-in WiFi hotspot.

Alex wrote 04/23/2016 at 18:13 • point

anti-camera is a good idea! But there should be also something in visible.

The idea is not new though, it's taken from #Hoodlight - but what idea is original anyway ;)
