Hacking AngelCare® Breathing Sensor with Arduino

Hacking AngelCare® Breathing Sensor with Arduino

I was looking for an USB cable in my stuff then I saw this sensor that came with a baby sensor that I buy when my dauther born.

This Sensor/Pad detect if the infant is breathing or not. At the end of the day we don't used because a lot of false positive/negatives and a hard way to tell the freaking speaker to stop the noise.

So I hacked in order to implemented the breathing detection from arduino. This is a pretty simple hack and pretty simple code to PoC that the sensor can work in the right way.

  1. The first thing to do is to get rid of the 1/8 jack that came with the sensor
  2. Then I put some soldering in the end of the cable so it can be easy to stick it in the protoboard
  3. Connect everything as the the Fritzing Diagram suggest
  4. Download the Arduino Sketch to your computer
  5. Upload your Arduino Sketch to your Arduino
  6. Have fun
