Quantity   Component name
1 × Raspberry Pi Zero The brains of the device
1 × Cheap USB hub Can be plugged in into Pi Zero by using a USB OTG adapter or by cutting the cord and soldering wires directly to Pi Zero
1 × TransFlash card Needed for Raspberry Pi Zero
1 × USB power adapter Needs to be powerful enough for both Pi Zero and the USB hub
1 × 3D-printed case Optional, but helps protect the device and give it structural integrity
1 × On/off switch Optional but it's more convenient than unplugging the power cable every time
1 × USB type B jack Optional unless you want to use an on/off switch. Type B jack provides the most mechanical strength but you can use smaller jacks as well if you want.
1 × Screws and standoffs I'm using M2 and M3 screws and standoffs
1 × Wire Needed if you're soldering the hub to the Pi Zero instead of plugging it into USB
