Transparent displays on their own are already just "cool", but if you stack a bunch of them together you create something even cooler. Combine that with your favourite microcontroller, and you have yourself a Volumetric display for that awesome retro cyberpunk look.

Seriously, video production and hacking are two independent skills, and only occasionally do you get someone who is willing to both strap his device and a camera to a wooden plank *and* setup a separate camera to record him waving it around.
I am so absolutely going to use a transparent OLED in a shape like this for my #LZRTag - Flexible DIY Lasertag project. Having a HUD or something similar like this would be awesome! Maybe not 10 of them, but I still love the idea of having this volumetric feeling, how the image is almost 3D :>
