The machine powers on. Wonderful!
Issue 1: All drum rhythms (samba, ballad, rock 1) work except fox trot. When the red/white switch is switched to white, fox trot should play if the foxtrot/swing button is engaged. However, swing continues to play.
Issue 2: The snare/bass & cymbal/brush variations (the two knobs on the far left w/ A-F options) only work (but work properly and fully) with the swing rhythm (even if the red/white switch is on foxtrot). All other drum rhythms play only one variation. Nothing changes when I turn the variation knobs.
Issue 3: The bass drum tone is lacking in...bass. It sounds dampened, maybe slightly distorted. Just not as low end as it should be.
It's time to open it up and see what's happening inside. The end goal is to have a fully functioning machine!
