I want to install a solar tracker on my carport that will move my solar panels to track the sun. I already have the solar tracking mechanism. I however want to be able to lift the solar panels from a flush position on the carport to a height of about 50cm off the carport every morning before sunrise (before the solar tracking mechanism get deployed), and retract back at sun set. I'm thinking in terms of a scissor-like rack and pinion mechanism (like a car jack) that is very strong and robot controlled. I need somebody to give me ideas or help with a mock up prototype drawing. Thanks in advance.
