I wanted a simple development board for lattice machXO2. They're neat little parts that don't require external flash and can run off of 3.3v alone. It follows the datasheet recommendations pretty closely. Troubleshooting was very difficult. I had endless problems the the JTAG lines. First, I did not include the correct pullups/pulldowns. Then, I had issues with signal integrity. I could get the board to work if I wrapped my hands around the cables. I speculate this is because the extra capacitance from my hands rounded off the fast edges. In another revision I will include 100 ohm resistors in series with the JTAG lines to slow down the edges.
