This is an easier tutorial than my last and it is on homemade rocket engines!

In this project I will be making homemade F class rocket motors using supplies you could get from walmart. Warning you can really hurt yourself playing with fire and rocket fuel and I will not take any responsibility for any injury or death caused by these rockets. Also do us all a favor and don't do anything stupid with these rockets.
  • 1 × Spectracide stump remover This is an easy source of potassium nitrate
  • 1 × Clay
  • 1 × Glucose or sucrose Sugar
  • 1 × Aluminum powder Optional
  • 1 × Baking powder Optional

    The biggest engine I have made using this method was an I class engine that produced 180N for 2.1 s.

    Step 1

    You must begin buy taking a mixture of 65% stump remover and 35% sugar. If you chose to add aluminum or baking powder you would add 60% stump killer, 5% aluminum or baking powder, and 35% sugar.

    Next you will mix the mixture with a little water and put it in an old frying pan that you don't want anymore.

    With your stove on low gradually heat this mixture for 30 minutes.
