3set it up in your favorite Slicer
I use slic3r it works for me but use what ever floats your baot - I use a .4mm nozel and .2mm layer height
PLA works fine - just dont leave it in a car on a hot day
Print it on its side with supports
4Send it to your printer
Print it OUT sit back have a beer and watch in amazement as the part appears before your very eyes - I love watching my printer in action - It gives me great satisfaction watching something i created out of a pile of junk make produce something out of what appears to be nothing. I also love the smell of burning PLA in the morning :
5Clean it up
remove the supports and clean up the rough edges with abit of sandpaper and fit it all together. The elsatic that holds the ball all together was long gone from my ball So I just used a few rubber bands to hold the haves togther
6Enjoy the fruits of your labour
Sitt down with your little one and help them stick the shapes in the right holes - they love you for ever ( well I hope mine do :o )
