Tweeting coffeepot

Arduino meets a coffee maker

Similar projects worth following
Inspired by the story behind the invention of the webcam, I decided to make a coffeepot that notifies you when the coffee is ready. By placing 2 wires inside the reservoir of the coffee maker, I measure conductivity between the 2 wires, if there is conductivity, it means there is still water in the reservoir, meaning the coffee isn't ready yet. When the conductivity stops, the arduino sends out a tweet with @coffee_tweeter to notify people that there is a fresh pot of coffee :).
  • 1 × arduino uno
  • 1 × arduino ethernet shield
  • 2 × wires, stripped at the ends
