Goals
- reduce amount of water need to fully irrigate a crop field
- react to changes in environment and its impact on moisture / hydration of the affected plants
- provide high resolution data on irrigation needs and effectiveness.
- record and share data for larger analysis
Assumptions
- The hydration needs of a crop varies across its surface area, and across intervals of time in a way that can be further optimized by a well monitored and automated irrigation system.
- The use of fine mist or fog is beneficial versus ground soak
