I need a small mixer to mix my headphones and notebook audio signals, when I'm 'on the road'. If anyone has any useful links - please share! I'm thinking about what is best, help me out deciding what's best, if you want to...
# passive vs. active
# if active: battery or usb
# needs a mute button (! every once in a while a co-worker wants to talk - I hate people)
# needs to be small
Fancy version:
# usb play/pause
# usb sound card
# bluetooth in
# bluetooth play/pause
# light shows
Details
I just looked through my parts drawer and found two salvaged TDA2822L ... they are pin dip, so I thought I would breadboard something first.
If active: use one of those simple USB charger ICs with load sharing, so you can charge your battery when USB is available.
I wouldn't go for the fancy version, but I also never implemented a USB or BT sound device. I'd probably get lost in overengineering this because there are two (at least) sources which could be muted/paused individually.
Lights: high power UV, so you can finally keep the sun out.
