For the unfamiliar - soutache is a narrow, flat, herringbone braid used in trimming. The word "soutache" is also used colloquially to refer to embellishments and jewelry made using this material, often combined with beads and stones. I've admired this art form for some time, and believe it lends itself naturally to the inclusion of some more futuristic elements. In this piece, I am hand sewing a necklace, featuring 3D printed elements with embedded WS2812b RGB LEDs alongside the usual beads.
