Here is an old cnc project I made when I was just getting started with all of this. I had a broken XYZ DaVinci Mini W printer that was missing several key parts. I decided to turn it into a pen plotter.I made a new pen holding tool...
Summary about 4:00 pm, Monday, January 21, 2019 Soldering stuff together. Out of fear of destruction, this was done in steps, testing along the way. Deets First, the NodeMCU board has pin headers soldered on (or at least mine do). These aren't...
I got many questions about the arm piece regarding overall flexibility. In particular, it the overall range of motion and degreed of freedom would be enough to perform a whole push-up. I have simulated this beforehand on Fusion360 and results seemed...
Hi everybody! I’m done. The soldering pen project is done. Well, At least in the first form where I feel I can release it to the public. A small beta-test have already given me changes that I need to implement before going to the next level and really...
After about an hour and a half of soldering in some very uncomfortable places, it's done. It's tested, it works: I need to find a paint pen to write 'send' and 'return' on the back, but this thing is buttoned up and velcro is on the bottom. Success.Edit:...
Couple minutes ago I finally get the USB HID work ! By changing the USB device name from "Wacom Rip off" to "Wac0m Rip off". I still had no idea why this change make the cursor actually move (as I said earlier that the "evtest" did shows event report)....
I finally make it working (at least on Windows 10). I already committed to my GitHub, so the latest code is now working! Also, I'm now understanding the way to report the correct hid event, so let me guide through. the number in parentheses corresponding...
recently I came across the Linux commit by alistair23. The newer w9013 variant seems to support the X/Y tilting and Pen distance detection. In his commit have something that currently mainline doesn't have, It's the other commands. You can set the...
So I bought a 3D pen to try and weld the 4 bezel parts together. This is the test run on some prototype prints. I'm amazed by how easy this was and how sturdy the result actually is.Final result (bezel only) will be ready in a week :D
Esp8266 Deauther 2.0 port for ESPboy is here https://github.com/ESPboy-edu/ESPboy_Deauther Thanks to Dmitry for this work. WiFi pen-testing tool. Three type of WiFi attacks.
It looks like I made no progress, but I swear I did! I now have the foundation for motion in both directions. The first stepper motor (which controls the direction of the other stepper motor) will be with a threaded rod. The second motor will use a...
I'm still waiting on the PCBs (ETA: April 21), but for now, I tested out some of the LEDs. I hoping the orange really pops against the black solder mask. 0805 is tinier than I thought so I made sure to order a new flux pen!
Here are some of the plastic shell styles I was developing... I used a wood burning pen to melt out the shape. The razor blade worked the best, the part in the picture is using the nubbin' and wasn't as clean.
In case someone else is playing with this. The CRV001 has an ATMega128 MCU (fewer timers), a 1x16ish LCD. The steppers work the exact same, the pen test sketch doesn't work at all (it's doing something, but I can't tell what) and the LCD sure seems...
Back in April 2023, I built a Brachiograph, which set me off down a rabbit hole around pen plotters and mechanical drawing machines. I subsequently purchased an AxiDraw SE/A4 (and then upgraded it with a coreless servo). I've been wanting...
