I have two projects in the Hackaday Prize that are aimed derectly at IoT development: #LiFePO4wered/Pi+ and #LiFePO4wered/Solar1. Both of them are intended to help people focus on their IoT application by not having to worry about the power supply of their device. But neither of them are really IoT projects on their own. They don't solve some problem in the world by using IoT, they solve problems when making an IoT device which may then solve a real world problem.
So does it make sense to submit these to the IoT round? If "solving a problem when making IoT devices" is not something the judges will be looking for, I'd rather not pollute the contest with pointless entries.
