Same function as the old podgizmo/podbreakout?

I've been looking to but one of the old podgizmo or podbreakout board for a while now. It seems they stopped making them or something because no site has them in stock.
Earlier I came across this and it seems to be the closest thing to the original podbreakout.
If it is would I then just need to connect it to a ft232rl board?
