It all comes from this garden that I have in France. The problem is that I am not in France but still would like to be able of caring and visiting it from a remote place in the world.
I could ask someone to do the job for me or show me via a video call the garden but this is definitively not very fun and the place is often empty. This is why I want to make a robot that can live in this garden all year round. I want to start by making the mobile platform that moves in the garden all year round. Staying all year round in a garden is tough, especially for a robot, especially when it rains, shines, snows and so much more. Tough robots exist but not in the same financial space as I do. My challenge is to make one for cheap.
To be more specific, I would define the challenge like this:
The challenge is to create a cheap mobile automated remotely operable platform to support gardening operations in my garden all year round.
I will follow the calendar of the Hackaday Prize to advance my project.
I plan to re-use part of the design of a robot I made a few years ago which is now the illustration of the project.
I truly like this extraordinary undertaking of PlatformD. I'm chipping away at gardening item to make it robotize. You can see here certain subtleties https://athgardens.com/
