    Step 1

    Inspect the bike - in my case the mounting holes on the seat stays were missing, but the mounting hole near the hub was present.

    To fix the problem I relied on the hole on the seat stays bridge and a couple of L-brackets.

    Step 2

    Go to the hardware store. For this project the following supplies were needed:

    • 2 x 50mm L-shaped mounting brackets
    • 1 x M6 screw, 40mm long
    • 1 x M6 washer
    • 1 x M6 locknut (it resists better to the vibrations than regular threaded nuts)
    • 2 x M5 locknuts (the rear rack mounting kit did not include those, not pictured)

    Graph paper not needed, but makes everything look more scientific!

    Put everything in place. Tighten the screw.
