Description

Ultra-wideband real-time location system based on DWM1000 modules.
System consists of several anchors and tags, depending on your goal, PoE switch and server.
Anchors and tags are exchanging UWB packets with each other. Anchors send UDP packets to server PC via ethernet. Server receives location data from anchors and computes tag position.
Server software is written in Python and is fully cross-platform, tested on Windows, Mac OS and Raspberry Pi Linux.
TWR and TDOA location algorithms are implemented.
Anchors can be powered from PoE or USB-B. Configuration can be done via USB or Ethernet.
Tags are powered from LiPo battery and has USB-C socket for charging and configuration.
Ranges between devices is up to 30 m.
Position estimation accuracy depends on the RTLS mode. Maximum accuracy can be obtained in TWR mode and is up to 10 cm.

Hardware Description

Both anchors and tags use Decawave DWM1000 modules for the UWB part.

Anchor is designed on STM32F207 MCU. PoE interface uses PM8800 and incorporates all the functions required by the IEEE 802.3af. Anchor has external flash memory on-board. Indication is on WS2812 RGB LEDs.
