B3
09/26/2022 at 01:36 • 0 commentsI am putting together the project video atm but wanted to share some photos of the completed build. I'll go into detail there about why I made the chording device and how to modify what I've made for your own hacking needs.
You can see the output of the keyboard in the above photo. Mouse clicks from the directional thumb-stick, key presses, a total glove state of pressed buttons (for chording) and even some of the 6 dof sensor output from the onboard sensor package.

Just a Small amount of Soldering
09/25/2022 at 00:36 • 0 commentsWell, it may have been more soldering than I let on. None more than a custom keyboard, though.
Only the assemble of the tiny keyboard to get done before Friday!

ITS ALIVE!!!
09/14/2022 at 23:57 • 0 commentsIt is starting to come together! After cutting out the foam, it's time for a fit test.

Build Started!
09/10/2022 at 19:15 • 0 commentsThe build has officially begun! I am missing some M3 screws; however, I have the first ring on! I'll start cutting out the foam soon.
If you noticed that the battery pack print is different, I am using Protopasta nebula. there was a small tweak to the cad of this part and that filament is what I had loaded.

CAD's in the Repo
08/31/2022 at 02:04 • 5 commentsI've added the 3mf printer files into the repo, as well as the fusion360 archive file for those that want to tweak.
Link below!

That was quicker than I expected
08/30/2022 at 02:20 • 0 commentsWelp, minimal design time! just a few sketches, loft, and reinforcements. Good enough for the V1.
Next steps are to 3d print and build out!

Bracer CAD Update
08/30/2022 at 01:44 • 0 commentsI believe the Screen attachment is mostly done with the minimal viable design. A latch was added to the battery unit to hold the batteries in place during use. The only thing needing any more work is attaching the keyboard.

Bracelet Mounting
08/22/2022 at 12:21 • 0 commentsThe design of the main interface between the Cyberdeck and the arm is underway!
The interface itself will be foam wrapped in fabric and glued into each half of the bracelet. As the bracelet closes the foam comforms around the arm. There will be a total of two of these brackets with supporting structure between them and some mounting for the electronics.

Fiddler done?
08/21/2022 at 02:05 • 0 commentsThe Fiddler is done-ish... maybe. Hopefully.
I've made a few different versions ultimately making the palm-rest and adjustable part, so you can mod it to your own hand design. It does use about 10 M3 heat inserts to secure all of the components, which is a bit of drawback. If it works, it works, though.
Right now, this part is modeled for a right hand, but it can be mirrored for left handedness.
The highlighted blue component is the adjustable part for people needing to change it up for their palm.
The prints are done, I just need to build it and put the build guide together.
I have now started to build the bracelet component of the Cyberdeck-B3. This component houses a hyperpixel display and a raspberry pi zero w2. I will try to make this comfortable/adjustable for people other than myself, even though I am using my arm as the base.
I made the stl model into a solid body by making a several planes and section analysis to draw a spline over that segment. Then I lofted all of the drawings together! Super easy, just tedious.
Gotta get all of this done and built before the cyberdeck comp is over!
Woot!~
