I didn't want to buy Google glass so i decided to design my own. thanks to K.Asminov2045 for suggesting the CHIP Pro and possibly helping me design the exterior.
A long journey through the Internet. I found another open source glass. Android Glass. A few components ill try out, square prism, bone conductor, etc .
Just received my CHIP dev kit, yesterday and dived in, and it doesn't support composite video out on the board (only the cpu chip itself, requires hardware redesign). This is good because theres more room for experimentation.

The prices for those FLCoS displays are quite high, especially when you consider that it's just a bare board and optical engine. For $200 you can buy a Vufine+ and strip it for the display, and you also get a battery power system and HDMI interface without spending more. https://store.vufine.com/collections/all
I have a Vufine+ and am thinking of buying a second one to take apart. It's OK as it is, but the eyebox is quite small, the optics are so-so, and it's difficult to get it positioned correctly.
I purchased a prism as well as lenses but I'm still waiting for the prism to arrive.
I haven't heard of the Vufine+ until recently.I don't know if the Vufine is true to the advertisement. I noticed in the comments in the kickstarter some people are complaining about the focus point on the Vufine+ that its 20cm. If the eyebox is small just replace it with a penta prism or box prism beamsplitter with double convex glass lens to adjust the focal point on the Vufine+ along with better clarity.
You may be able to combine the prism from this project: https://hackaday.io/project/18033-raspberry-pi-zero-prism
With an FLCoS display like these: http://www.yoycart.com/seller/xunchuang88/
