Ennea360 aims to be a very cheap and light-weight lidar solution that can greatly improve a vehicles awarness of its surrounding. At its core, it is driven by 9 VL53L3X ToF sensors and an STM32C0 microcontroller. The mcu handles the sensor communication and sends the distance data over a UART connection using MAVLink, so that it can be used by a flightcontroller such as Ardupilot.
