SPAM: Ronn Newark added the page Buy Mens & Womens Leather Pants Online At Leathernxg to their profile.
I have already reported this weeks ago, so can't report it again. May be a way to report again if it haven't been acted upon for a week?
BTW use robot.txt to make user profile not indexed by search engine. This will help everyone as these SPAM won't pollute search results and bump up their "clients". Whatever the SPAMMER do (i.e. those SEO scums), their effort trying to make HaD a link farm is futile.
it seems to be gone.
However while searching for it, I found https://hackaday.io/RobertWalker which is another spammer...
SPAMMER still here: https://hackaday.io/leathernxg0 Can't repoprt again.
If these are not acted on *after reported* , more will come. The automated email reply from link said it'll take up to a week!
Currently SPAM are at about 1 or 2 a day. Every time, there is a SEO popping up a few days after the initial batch. That's the SPAMMER for hire.
https://hackaday.io/leathernxg0 back again
Look like there is a bug n the reporting system that didn't clear the report after account was (manually?) deleted. Spammer exploit this by reusing same account names.
yep that Ronn is still here at this moment, I reported the profile
Feature request: Groups for the components list.
Many of my projects are made up of multiple sub systems/boards. It would be really nice to be able to group components that relate to each of these sub systems. Bonus feature two views one grouped, one non-grouped (with identical components counts summed) to get BOM for the entire project.
Groups for the files would be awesome too ! you know, we have directories in most recent filesystems :-P
Weird. I have a like on a project that I posted today and it wasnt in my feed.
I just noticed that in the icon view of a project, the four counts are in the order "views followers comments likes", but on the project page itself, they're in the order "views comments followers likes". I suggest making those use the same order, but I have no argument as to which order is better.
Feature Request -- a chat layout designed for low-res screens. The chat window isn't excellent for us 1366x768ers.
even with the "make everything smaller and tighter button" in the top right?
I hit the button that looks like a little speech bubble and it made the chat text smaller, which is awesome. But it would be nice if the other windows (conversations list, members, etc) would shrink too. Would make them easier to navigate.
It would be highly appreciated of me, to have an "add file" option for pages as well! :) Just a thought.
The new method of submitting for a contest looks good. It's a simple and definitive action, with the results clearly noted on the project.
Just saw some confused comments on the hackchat project again. You should write a big, fat, gold and visible in all interfaces: "JOIN AND CHAT" - button, that asks for permission to join (if needed), automatically joins the account and opens the message section instantly.
There are some improvements in the works that should make it a lot easier for messaging and joining project chats.
Why do some projects have a view count and others don't? Are a minimum number of views required before being displayed?
Hi Lucas, view count starts from 50 and updates every 6 hours.
minor thing: the default range of most liked projects should be something more appropriate like a month or a quarter of a year. Something that is more in balance with overall likes on projects? Or maybe add up like/timediff and sort by that. The further the like is in the past, the smaller the like count gets, maybe? Basically a popularity algorithm.
When adding a head to a table in the detail section, the head is bold in editing mode, but not on the actual project page. I fixed it manually by adding a bold style tag, but wanted you to know.
Hey @davedarko - My table heads are bolded on project page but not on feed. Thanks for the feedback!
Trying to land a new client, so I pointed him to one of my project blog entries, and half the images are missing.
https://hackaday.io/project/5283-potpourri/log/50860-fixing-alt-tab-behavior
Specifically, this image (and others) are missing:
These used to work, and other .png images from the same blog entry are OK.
Amazon servers are down, which is causing lots of problems everywhere
It seems that image upload is broken right now -- when I try to upload any image to my project, the progress bar reaches 100% and then stops and nothing happens.
I seem to have a bit of trouble uploading pictures to a project log with both Chrome and Opera under Win7 X64. Adding pictures by URL works, but won't help me adding new pictures.
I have uploaded tons in the past, so this is something new.
Send my profile to another hacker on facebook to see what I mean https://hackaday.io/neris :D
Hi @Neris.io - bug is confirmed. Thanks for the feedback!
Hey,
How do you promote your projects? Shared on facebook but the photo is not mine, wired video in the gallery, how can I remove it? posting here, does not have photo upload button, are there any accessible projects stats? Thanks
Are you still seeing this issue? We're not able to reproduce this on our end. I'll explain you everything in a PM.
OS X 10.11.6 - Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit)
Whenever I'm sending more than one line of text in the chat fast after another, I always get a spinning wheel and I'm not sure if the line was send or not. When I reload quickly, it seems like it's already send, so I never now if it was read already or not. Confusing experience...
The random listing of the projects in the contest page does not work properly.
The total list, which is now 61 projects long, is split in two pages, in random order. 50 projects on the first page, https://hackaday.io/submissions/2017-sci-fi-contest/list, and the rest of 11 projects on the second page of the list, https://hackaday.io/submissions/2017-sci-fi-contest/list?page=2. The problem is that the second page display does not seem to be aware of the projects already displayed in the first page, but the total number of projects displayed is kept correct.
As a result, some projects are displayed twice, once in the first page, once in the second, but other projects are not displayed at all (since the total number is kept, and some are listed on each page).
You may want to remove the 50 projects per page limit, as I remember it was for the past contests (or to make the random function aware of what projects were already displayed in the previous pages).
okay, i have a lot more projects i'm following than what it shows, and there's no "see all", so a bug? its kinda annoying
Hey @ActualDragon - I have "View all" button on my profile, it will appear only if you following more than 18 projects. If that so then it's a bug. Let me know, thanks!
yeah, since you said that, i randomly followed a couple projects and still no view all

None of my comments on the Hackaday blog seem to show.
My most recent attempt was a reply to "sneakypoo" (2nd comment in) on the helping hands article, viz:
http://hackaday.com/2017/03/12/ask-hackaday-helping-hands/
The response had a link to an image on my .IO project, and a link to a build log on my .IO project.
After an hour it's still not showing, and several replies to previous articles don't show either.
Am I blacklisted or something?
