Why PIC32 over ARM Cortex devices, say, STM32, LPC17xx or Freescale?
Will you use MPLAB X or Harmony as dev tool?
I wish i have more time to switch from 8bit Pics to 32bits. I really love all those neat analog feature that microchip 8 bits have, but I run out of memory most of the times ( there is no way i can afford pro-version of XC8).
Edit: Never mind my question, i read the course description.
Protothreads sounds very interesting and might be the first thing that i start my pic32 journey with.
PIC32 is a 32-bit M4K MIPS core with good peripherials. It is simple enough to be programmed 'bare metal', but gives a factor of 10 performance increase over AVR.
