I uploaded two new 180º NeoJoint designs. One has a 20mm spacing (so LEDs are spaced out) and a 10mm one (where the strips are touching). Below is the 10mm pitch one.
Two more angles added:
Here's a quick demo video showing a square made with NeoJoints and WS2812 strip and a blink(1) mk2 to control them
I put up some quick "how to solder" NeoJoints. The technique I show is the fastest and most reliable I've found so far as I've been developing these.
Check them out here: https://github.com/todbot/NeoJoints#how-to-solder
What a difference sharp tools make! Same piece, same @Othermill setup, just swapped endmill, no post-process.
I've been re-laying out some of the joints as "NeoJointsV2".
You can check them out in the new NeoJoints repo:
I'm playing around with putting the screw hole in the center of the rotation point of the joint:

I'm trying to just open these files in Eagle and every file gives me an error that they are not Eagle files - what am I doing wrong???
Are you sure? yes | no
It'd be nice to have these as flex PCBs or even 0.6mm boards. I could have used these in my LED matrix build.
great minds thing alike! (or so they say!) i did something similar in the fall of 2015 for a rollup rgb display! http://elinux.org/LED_Matrix_Failure
Those are great! I like the strain-relief additions. Making a matrix with LED strip is exactly why I started on these. (and around the same time too perhaps!)
Yes, definitely! The current designs are optimized for a single-sided bare copper board made on a PCB mill, but I'm making a few small improvements and then will do an OSHpark run soon.
Are you planning on uploading these to OSH Park under Shared Projects?
