In a nutshell what I've done is wire a wireless serial module to the auxiliary serial port on the laser engraver driver board. Then I configured the hc-06 bluetooth module with the correct baud rate and changed the identifier name via AT commands. Then all I had to do is turn on the engraver and on the PC side pair to the bluetooth device which shows up as a serial device. Finally open the laser software and point it to the new COM port and connect! From there on it acts exactly the same as if it were wired in. Obviously I have to mind the distance between the pc and engraver (bluetooth is around 30ft max with no obstacles, less with) though as dropped packets can ruin jobs.
