Hello Hackaday community!

Im looking for any and all information on the early development of computers and the beginning of the internet, things like creation of programming and WWW. What was the foundation? What was tried and failed? Who was involved? How did one technology contribute to/develop into another?

Im a nature nerd trying to navigate the world of technology, and I every time I discover something cool, I feel like I need to know a million other things that came before it to understand it.
I've decided to try and understand computers, both hardware and software, by going chronologically. Like learning history chronologically, I realise this isn't the most efficient way to go about it, but Im ready to get crushed with information.

I'd greatly appreciate some recommendations on where to get started! Please send any literature, project, company, or person that you think is relevant.
