OpenMic is a low cost, open-source audio interface that aims to provide the functionality of commercially available products at a lower cost and higher customizability.

The goal of this project is to support up to 48 kHz, 24 bit audio for up to 16 input channels and 2 output channels, powered over USB.

The current design supports 2 input channels and 2 output channels of 44.1 kHz, 16 bit audio via the Teensy 4.1, but due to the high cost of this microcontroller and limitations of available libraries, it is desirable to find a cheaper and more versatile alternative in the future.

Other features include:
- Adjustable input gain to support microphone, instrument and line level signals
- Adjustable output gain to support speaker and headphone output
- Clip indicator LEDs
- Adjustable zero latency input monitoring
- Phantom power (planned)
