Description

I have two Mac SE machines, one with the upgraded fan and one with the older style 'squirrel' cage fan. I used a 3D printed mount from PCBWay and new fan for the second machine, and used machine #1 to assist me with making sure it was mounted properly.

I had this project on the back-burner with other things going on but was able to get around to it.

I had used PBWAY’s 3-D printing services for this project.

After receiving the part and purchasing the fan, I was ready to replace the very noisy squirrel cage fan in my Mac SE.

Use a long Torx T15 driver to open the Mac SE

Carefully remove the cover off after the screws are removed

Install the fan shroud to the fan
