This incredible project is our most ambitious yet. Our goal is to reproduce a human scale arm, and making it interactive trough means we have not chosen for now. We are aiming to reproduce the movement of the user's arm on our artificial one. We wish to educate ourselves on the anatomy of the arm as much as we can and try our best to recreate it correctly, including bones, muscles and maybe even tendons. We'll put our sweat and tears into this project, and hopefully not our blood :)

All the attempt to make the code is on our github. Here is the link for the code:

The syringe driver has gone through multiple iterations, going from hand use, to a failed attempt using online 3D models :

, to finally our lastest and best iteration yet :

  • First arm prototype (without motor)

    Zurzolo enzo10/31/2023 at 15:50 0 comments

Today was a big day for us. we've made the first arm elbow or something like that prototype. It is a one degree freedom lever. With my strengh we've made the arm lift a 2.5 Kg weight. It may take more but we need to check with the motor how much it can lift. The syringe driver will soon be ready so we hope everything will come to place.

The the code 1.3 was finished today.

    https://github.com/Eratosteme/ArmCode/tree/main/Projects/ArmCode_1.3

-this code enable the use of the syringe driver

          * get user input from the buttons

          * graphical interface with the screen

          * control the motor

Fixed the issues that plagued the power supply of the motor

            * we made our own USB to Jumper wire adapter

            * connected the ground of the esp32 and motor so that they communicate well despite having different power supply

today we did a lot ;)

    - tested several programs and telecommunication library for their compatibility with our esp32 t-display

    - tested the upper limit of the resistance of our system from water pressure

  • First muscle with fiber prototype

    Zurzolo enzo10/19/2023 at 09:00 0 comments

Last tuesday we have made a connection between 4 muscle prototype. Now on this probably be consider as fiber muscle. The video of it can be seen in the files.

  • Fifth muscle prototype

    Zurzolo enzo10/12/2023 at 12:32 0 comments

Today we did the fifth muscle prototype. It is basically the same as the fourth one exept that the net used is bigger than the previous one. It will allow the ballon to inflate more and by that to retract more.

  • Fourth muscle prototype

    Zurzolo enzo10/12/2023 at 12:31 0 comments

We've made the fourth muscle prototype which now contain a way to fix the end of the muscle. It works like the last with water.
