I need to engrave lots of plywood (350x350mm) for an upcoming project. It is no fun using commercial services to do it since it is rather expensive and it will add steady cost.
That's why i've decided to just piece together an engraver from whatever i can find. I hope to learn some more about XY systems for a CNC mill I am planning even further on.

For the motor controllers I will use the SilentStepStick once again. Most probably I will stretch the driver to it's limits, so i've decided to go with a slave setup where Two motors power the fast axis.
