The Future! ROB is a Droid with toddler level neural network intelligence. His chat server was built with a python CakeChat neural emotion engine which gives him lots of interesting things to say! R.O.B. runs on OSX and has LiFePO4 80 Ah batteries for hours mobility with the finest BLDC motors that Shenzhen, China has to offer (Thanks to HengDriveMotors). At 100lbs R.O.B can pull and lift a ton of weight, not to mention those HiTech HSB 938 33 kg-cm (3300 oz-in) servos for the arms and 7:1 Actobotics gearing for ultra lift. With ARKit2, R.O.B. will have total room space tracking and relocalization to sync with my iOS AR Device and allow me to control the room allowable space with synchronized AR Elements that you see in WALLE to divide the bot lanes of travel... caution signs and no tred zones.
Thud Moto's 2 speed dog clutch transmission. Working on how I can get my hands on a Pinion (http://pinion.eu) gearbox from Germany because R.O.B. needs an automotive grade german micro transmission at this point.
R.O.B. showed up to the WWDC 2018 keynote. It was in the middle of SanJose, CA and I didn't know the robot laws. I was afraid of getting a ticket or worse, getting arrested for this 100lbs Apple Robot that was moving down the streets of downtown along side my wife, son and I. It was sniffed out twice by the police dogs and the chief wasn't sure what to say either. In the end it was all a bunch of great feelings that a real live droid was present amongst us with all the latest Apple technologies to show off. Straight out of a StarWars movie, stay tuned for more updates from R.O.B.!
