Many times we have required to make our own PCBs or PCB modules according to our needs, in this case we have done it through the stepper motor control driver with the integrated ULN2003A.

The ULN2003 module is a driver specially designed to drive the 28BYJ-48 (unipolar) stepper motor. Additionally it can be used to drive relays, DC motors or any low current consumption DC load. Internally it has an arrangement of 7 NPN Darlington transistors with protection diodes for inductive loads. Each transistor or channel is capable of handling a load of up to 500mA, channels can be used in parallel to increase current capacity.

By using the ULN2003 module with the 28BYJ-48 unipolar PaP motor we can control the direction of rotation and the speed of the motor through TTL signals, these signals can be obtained from a microcontroller such as Arduino, Pic or Raspberry Pi.
