I'm not much of a chat or IRC type... email or messaging in general is better for me.  Our situations are somewhat similar, though I don't have the Aspergers thing going on, or at least not at your level.  I spent many years in IT and eventually figured out that at least 80 percent of the people I ever worked with in that field had it to some degree, probably including me.  In any case, I just went on SS this year and have a little less than you coming in... bankruptcy looms, so I'm going all in on small tech like RaspPi boxes.  Hopefully I'll still be able to cook up some innovations and maintain access despite my penury.  So, g'night and good hacking.
