Open assistive robotic arm for meal

An accessible robotic arm designed to help people with special feeding needs.

Similar projects worth following
It is not given to everyone to be able to use his arms. When that happens, having a meal could be a nightmare and making you depend on someone.
Assistives robotic solutions exist on the market but cost several thousand dollars.

Since october 2018 and a collaborative work at the Besançon's Hacking health, we believe that it is possible to realize a low cost open assistive robotic arm for meals, simple, safe and accessible.

After a first iteration on 2019 in which we’ve designed first prototypes, developed partnerships with contributors and users and finded financials supports ;
We’re now going further with a dedicated team to advance in technical, safety and regulatory fields.

Like many others, we’re convinced that open source, collective work, digital fabrication, and distributed production are a good way to solve this problem. If you too, go for it : Join or support us !
