Regarding the thermoelectric generators, I would love to be able to purchase one and a matching vacuum tube (valve) radio that it could power. Let me know if you know a source of such a setup that would be for sale.

Sorry, I don't know where to buy. Try to search in a flee market or on ebay. The generator was made for a petroleum lamp, i don't know if a tube can provide enough heat. Also, the internal diameter of the generator was about 4-5 cm, which is much bigger then usual valve tubes.
